Skipping the rough phase is the classic mistake: fine drywall dust settles into every cavity, and the final clean takes twice as long when it has to fight construction residue.

Fine dust is the real enemy
Drywall and concrete dust behaves differently from household dust — it smears when wiped dry and clogs standard vacuums. Professional crews use HEPA-filtered extraction and damp-wipe multi-pass methods.
Expect duct openings, vent covers, window tracks, and the tops of door frames to be included. If a quote doesn't mention them, the crew doesn't either.
